Between 2014 and 2018, I worked with The Flying Joe to build their brand voice and reconstruct their brand aesthetic. While wanting to freshen up their in-person store, Social Media presence became ever important. We worked together to slowly migrate the brand from it’s early 2007 mom-n’-pop into the local 4th wave cafe it’s known as today. Buried within the social media content are important foundational themes that the owners found relevant to the integrity of their business.

The Flying Joe has a special place in my heart.
It was the first true taste of autonomy within a workplace I had, allowing me the time and freedom to create. As such, many of the examples of my copy will come from my time with them but it reflects their brand voice utilizing my skill sets: photography, writing, planning and directing.
